The Hydration Enforcer ("we", "us", or "our") operates as a Google Chrome Extension designed to remind users to drink water. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.

1. Data Collection and Usage

We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) or browsing data to external servers.

All data generated by the extension (such as your reminder interval, sound preferences, theme choices, and hydration statistics) is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage.sync API. This data is synced across your own Chrome browsers by Google, but we (the developers) do not have access to it.

2. Permissions Justification

• Host Permissions (Access to all websites): This permission is used strictly to inject the visual reminder overlay (a notification screen) into the active tab when your timer expires. We do not read, track, or analyze the content of the websites you visit.
• Alarms & Notifications: Used solely to trigger the reminder timers and show system notifications.

3. Third-Party Services

This extension does not use any third-party tracking tools (like Google Analytics) or advertising networks.
